My career as a colorist started by accident when I had to leave the School of Visual Arts in New York City after my junior year. I began an apprenticeship at the George Marcus Salon in Wilmington, DE and after getting my license, moved back to Manhattan to work for Beth and Carmine Minardi's Minardi Salon. One of the most well regarded hair color educators in the industry, I spent a year as Beth Minardi's professional salon assistant and went on to be among her salon's most successful colorists from 1998-2012. During that time, in addition to building up a diverse and very special clientele, I travelled extensively with Team Minardi, teaching and coloring hair for dozens of industry shows and color brands such as Redken, Wella and Joico. I've had my work featured on covers and in feature articles for several industry magazines such as Modern Salon and Process. I was also involved in extensive independent product testing, giving me a very unique and in depth understanding of both the nature of hair response and the actual capabilities of hair color. I am delighted to now be coloring hair at the gracious and boutique style environment of the Rosario Aquista Salon, located at 22 East 66th Street between Madison and 5th Avenue. I continue my passion for my craft and just recently finished my own independent testing on a new line of color from Redken.
